Honey, the dog that was burned by chemicals, has been doing very well. Her wounds are healing nicely and in the next few weeks she should be able to go to her forever home (which has yet to be chosen). She made her first trip to the dog park today and although she didn’t get to run around and play like she wanted to, she did make quite a few butt sniffing buddies! All in all, shes come A LONG WAY!!!

How is Honey getting along with the foster family cat? Will she tolerate a cat in her soon to be forever home?
She likes to chase the cat, although, its more in fun than malice. I think she would be ok in a house with a cat or two, especially if they are the type to stand up to a dog and not run…..because the chase is the fun part to her! I also think she just needs a little more desensitization , she is quite curious about them. She met a neighborhood kitty, who is not afraid of dogs, and she wasn’t quite sure what to do with him, I really think she just wants to play.
