Dogs are killed every day at TLAC for being homeless (and they're outside there too), so shutting down a location for most of the day is not an easy option for us. We've decide to use our van and materials and move to the Brodie Petsmart location instead. We too are concerned about the heat for our dogs, which is why we have tents and baby pools. Many of our counselors are vet techs and all are trained to watch for signs of the dogs being overheated. We are in the process of getting misters set up as well, which we were already planning to do, but the early extreme heat in June caught us.
