Update 2/14/10: The meeting with the subcommittee will now take place on March 1st at 10am at City Hall.
Update 2/2/10: At the meeting last night, Assistant City Manager Bert Lumbreras mentioned that the City may not be ready to present the City’s plan to the Health and Human Services committee meeting on the 16th and they may be asking for a special meeting later in February. We will keep you updated.
Tonight is the final AAC meeting to put together a plan with the city to make Austin a no kill city.
Yesterday the AAC met for 5 hours and came up with a list of recommendations, based on public input over the last 2 months. City staff will consider these recommendations as they put together the official Implementation Plan due to City Council on March 1st.
Please save the date of Tuesday, February 16 at 3:00p.m. This is the next meeting of the Public Health and Human Services committee meeting. It is expected that the city staff will present the Implementation Plan to Mayor Pro Tem Mike Martinez, and council members Shade and Morrison. We need to pack the house at this meeting.
