A Big Weekend Ahead

by austinpetsalive • Posted in: Adoptions, Awareness/ PR

It’s finally feeling a bit like fall here in Austin and we are excited for the big weekend that is now upon us! Help us “clean out” APA! for the ASPCA Challenge final close-out. We’re offering $25 adoption fees for all animals over 3 months through the end of the month, and $25 adoptions for ALL animals (regardless of age) at our headquarters and South Congress locations.

And, don’t forget our Fall Petsival this Sunday, October 30 from 3:30-8:30 p.m. There will be carnival games, food, drinks, GREAT prizes and it will all be capped off with a FREE showing of Cats & Dogs by the Alamo Rolling Roadshow! And of course, adoptable cuties all available for only $25!

Our goal is to reach 200 adoptions by the end of the month, but so far we’re only at 35 since this Tuesday. Help us reach our goal and win the money to continue our no-kill efforts throughout Central Texas.

Lastly, there’s still time to vote for APA! for the ASPCA Challenge community engagement grant. Visit www.votetosavelives.org to vote for TX – Austin Pets Alive! today and every day through October 31. The community engagement grant gives us the opportunity to win an additional $25K to save more lives!

    heya,
I fell in love with that dog that’s in the photo there. I was wondering if he’s been adopted.

That’s Hot Shot. He was adopted yesterday, but we still have littermates who look like him. They are part of the $25 promotion and will be at our main building on Manchaca or at our S. Congress location today. I have an email into the adoptions team to find out where they’ll be today. We *just* got them, so they’re not up on our website yet.

My son is coming today (Oct 29) to adopt Xandria on the $25 special. I’m so excited for him and for her that I’ve made a donation in her and his name–Xandria and Jeff Britt. May they have long and joyful lives together and may Austin Pets Alive flourish. You’re doing great work. Thank you very much for saving animals and finding them homes!
