Petunia aka Honey
|Current Weight:||37 pounds|
|Date of Birth:||11/11/2007|
|Age:||6 years, 4 months|
Petunia showed signs of neglect when she arrived at the shelter, and is prone to being timid when first meeting new people and fearful of strange new dogs. But she is in foster care now, where she is receiving love and reassurance, she's regaining her confidence.
Given time to get acquainted, she becomes a people magnet, happy to lay next to them or at their feet. And she's always an excited tail-wagger when her foster parents arrive back home. She does well with other dogs and is living happily with five other dogs in her foster home. She has visited a house with cats and she seems fine with them as well.
Petunia is house trained. She walks well on her leash and enjoys a good run. And remember, all APA adoptions come with free behavior assistance through APA's behavior team.
This well-behaved and dignified sweetie will make an easy going and very loving companion in a home that is calm and quiet, just as she is, with people who will give her the care and attention she deserves.
