Fundrunners

Love running? If you don’t know about Team Spiridon, you should.
They’ve been doing pub runs all summer, while raising money for animal welfare. You may remember when they did a run for APA pets back in May. They’ve also been incredible at our new building and have been working like crazy to help us get it ready.

Reba walking!

We have more good news to report on Reba. Thanks to all of the physical therapy her foster has done with her, she is now walking! She’s still a little wobbly, but her foster reports that she’s actually started running a little bit now too!

We want to thank her donors, the volunteers who helped her, and especially her foster for taking such great care of this girl. She went from broken hip and a terrible case of distemper which left her blind and unable to walk at all to able to see from one eye, … more

Olak

Olak

Olak came to TLAC with a very bad leg – broken with terrible open wounds. Apparently, his owner had tried to fix his leg with popsicle sticks and tape. He wasn’t given any veterinary care. Then he dropped his cat off at the shelter.

Despite his serious wounds, Olak is the friendliest little kitten – he tries to leap in your arms as soon as you open the cage. He has a healthy appetite and is doing ok now in his wonderful foster home.

Unfortunately, his wounds … more

Our new building

Yes, you read it right. After 2.5 years of looking, we have finally found a building. (Actually, it’s 2 buildings on a few acres.)

This building will allow us to save more dogs and cats – at least 1,000 more this year, and of course, we’ll be working hard to grow that number quickly.

We will house pets there and it will be open to the public for adoptions. (We will continue to operate many off-site adoption events because we believe it’s an important piece to getting as many pets as possible into their new homes.)

The building gives … more
