Austin Pets Alive! is an educational group that believes in the spirit of cooperation and friendliness. We believe that if we all pool our resources, we can make the world a better place for our beloved pets.

Our goals include:

  • Promoting the importance of spaying and neutering animal companions.  If all people with pets had their dogs or cats spayed or neutered, Austin would be a "No-Kill" community today!
  • Encourage people with animal companions to make a "Life Commitment" to them.
  • Supporting free and low-cost spay-neuter services to underserved communities, such as through our Community Spay/Neuter Program, the EmanciPet clinic, and Animal Trustees of Austin.
  • Supporting responsible pet care, such as assisting in the care of pets of domestic violence victims through our SafePets program.

Austin Pets Alive! has a variety of opportunities available to help communities with solutions to pet over-population problems. For example, check out the Community Spay/Neuter Program, our SafePets program, or look on the Volunteer page. If you've got the time, please volunteer; if not, please consider making a donation or becoming a Business Partner. Get involved and save an animal's life!
