This weekend: Cinco de Meow (and barks too!)

by Hilary Bentley • Posted in: Adoptions, Events

WHAT: We’re celebrating Cinco de Mayo doggie and kitty adoption style! This weekend we’re offering adoption discounts as low as $5 for pets that have been with us longer than thirty days, and other discounted adoption fees for cats over 6 months and dogs over 35 pounds. In addition, we’ll have the building and the Ohlen Road Petsmart (cats only at that location) decked out for “Cinco de Meow (and barks too!)” and will be giving away gift certificates to Mexican restaurants in true festive fashion, pinatas!

In addition, Marnie Hart will be at our Adoption & Resource Center on April 30 from 2-4 p.m for a book signing for her new book “i promise to…”. Marnie wrote and illustrated this wonderful book about the special bond between a rescue dog and it’s human. Proceeds from book sales will be donated to APA!

WHERE:    The APA! Adoption and Resource Center at 2807 Manchaca Road and APA! adoption sites located throughout the city. All locations can be found at http://www.austinpetsalive.org/.

WHEN:     Saturday, April 30 through Sunday, May 1. All adoption locations will be open from 12p.m to 6 p.m.

Thank you to Matt’s El Ranco, Cantina Laredo, and Curra’s Grill for donating gift certificates for some lucky adopters! If your business would like to donate to the event, please contact us at email hidden; JavaScript is required.
