Tyra Banks may have made “fierce” and “smizing” (ya know, where you smile not only with your mouth but through your eyes) popular phrases of our time, but we’re pretty sure she got her inspiration for the terms from our very own Santana.
Santana is an absolute stunner, with deep brown eyes and a Julia Roberts-watt smile. She naturally has that smoky-eye look accentuated by her tan and white coat. But Santana is not just a looker; she’s a mover and a shaker, too. Her favorite volunteers take her out on walks to the trail and swims in the lake. We also know she’s impeccably house trained and is a top-notch napper. With her charm and beauty, Santana is sure to complement the decor in any living room. And with her play bows, wiggly butt, and joyful scampering, Santana will make sure your home is also filled with laughter.
She also has a trainer buddy who’s refining her obedience by working her through our Total Obedience Program, or TOP for short, modeled after the AKC’s Canine Good Citizen test. This means Santana knows such things like sit, down, and place; how to walk well on leash; and sitting calmly when strangers approach. Suffice to say, Santana basically is America’s Next TOP Dog Model!
Perhaps Santana’s most important attribute, though, is her devotion and loyalty to all her friends. She can tell when a human companion is giving a piece of themselves to her, when a human companion is giving her a special moment away from the shelter life. It’s almost a sixth sense—she somehow knows that these precious moments are gifts, and as such, Santana will promptly melt your heart by gazing up at you with a smile, a gentle kiss, and a polite begging for belly rubs. Sometimes shelter life is long and stressful, but Santana is resilient and always grateful for the little things.
Santana is searching for her happy place—a human to love her unconditionally and to allow her to grow into an even better dog than she already is.
Plus, she’s got the kind of loving that can be so smooth. So give her your heart, make it real. Let’s not forget about it.
