Run/Drink/Repeats: The Running of the Unraptured!

by austinpetsalive • Posted in: Events

On Thursday, June 2, Team Spiridon’s got something for you. Running. Drinking. Repeating. And it’s all for a good cause.

June’s Run/Drink/Repeats is benefiting an important new program at Austin Pets Alive! – Louie’s Team. This team identifies and provides extra training and resources to dogs that need a little more training to make them more adoptable and better canine citizens.  At a lot of shelters and organizations, these dogs on the edge get lumped in with the severe behavior problems, and they never get a chance to have a good home and a good life.  Louie’s Team is changing that.

We’ll meet at Whole Foods at 6:30pm, near the corner of 6th and Lamar, and will be hitting the streets soon after.  Bring a $3 donation and your ID.  All the stops are dog-friendly, too!

Here’s the tentative itinerary, though you can absolutely count on us making the stop to see our good and generous friends at the Side Bar:

Dog and Duck – 1.24
Side Bar – 2.66
Hickory Street – 3.14
TBA – 3.7

There’s always a variety of paces, and some walkers, too. And, if you don’t run or don’t drink, that’s OK – you can still join the fun!

Our hearts go out to the family and friends of Courtney Paige Griffin, including her families at Austin Pets Alive! and LABAH.  This pub run and its proceeds will be in her honor.
