Litter of 8 Puppies

by austinpetsalive • Posted in: Donations, Foster, Fundraising

These little guys came out of Town Lake Animal Center just a few hours ago.  There are eight of them and they are only 5 weeks old.  We are not sure where they came from, but we do know they were not well cared for.  All eight are infected with roundworms, are dehydrated and are covered in ticks.  Our amazing vet team pulled all the ticks off and have started treatment for the worms and dehydration. Please consider making a donation to help us cover the cost of caring for these eight little pups!

Special thanks to our awesome foster team as well for always being there to save these little guys (want to foster?  Go here to learn more!)

Please consider helping this litter. 1 has died already and 2 are barely hanging in there. The cruelty they have already suffered in their short life is so sad! Little Jelly belly is here struggling for her life!

I’m covering the remaining cost for these guys in honor of my friend’s pooch, Pete. He recently came from Canada to find a great home. He feel ill and is no longer with us. Since a beautiful soul has left this world, I figured what better way to honor him than making sure a pup with a rough and tumble start gets a chance at a life as good as Pete’s. So, in honor of Pete, I’m donating the $155 to Austin Pets Alive to help nurse these pups back to health. We need to make sure there is a solid pipeline of pups to keep my kitties on their toes as Pete did!
