Volunteer of the Month – Eric Knustrom

by austinpetsalive • Posted in: Volunteer of the Month, Volunteering

Eric has been at the Austin Pets Alive! building on literally a daily basis to help with everything from walking dogs to fixing anything that needs repair to assisting with events.  He truly has a passion for the animals and it shows in his constant dedication.  Thank you, Eric!

“Eric jumped in from the beginning and found things to do on his own initiative and hasn’t stopped.  He’s out there working his butt off and sweating with out complaints.” ~Frank

“Eric is a great guy always willing to help – no matter what it is you need…he walks dogs, he bandages dogs, he fixes stuff, he builds stuff, he cleans stuff and it’s all with a smile and humbleness. I wish we had a zillion of him and it’s hard to think he may leave Austin for work…sigh…win the Lotto man :) Eric makes us all better people…I’m honored to know him.” ~Cathy

“Eric somehow believes he can do everything – from painting asphalt with exotic coatings to finding storage containers from a friend of a friend… I think that’s why we love him – that he does so much different stuff all of the time – just by saying he will help in almost every case, he inspires us to do more than we thought was possible.  And he is fun, always positive, and a kick-in-the-pants to boot!” ~Michael L.

“Eric = Everything Man!  Whatever you need help with, Eric is your man!  He builds shade, builds misters, fixes fences, fills water bowls, walks dogs, helps with play groups, brings smiles and slushies to overheated staff and volunteers, and pretty much just kicks ass.  I smile every time I see Eric because I know that he is fixing something and making life better for our dogs.  Eric is awesome and a very integral part of everyday APA life.”  :) ~Holly
