Arizona Goes Home

by shoreyr • Posted in: Adoptions, Foster, Where are they now

A little over a week ago, I loaded up the car with Arizona & her “suitcase” – with cans of her favorite food & toys – to go to her new home. She had been pre-adopted the week before to a young couple with a cat (another Tuxedo) & two dogs, and I knew it would be the perfect environment for her to shine as an individual, but also have plenty of playmates.

The days preceding her departure were bittersweet, but included lots of snuggling and cuddling. Naturally, she would do something so incredibly adorable and in the midst of my laughter I would realize that her new family would now witness all her shenanigans. Sigh…

But less than 24 hours after giving her over to her new family, I received updates that she had settled in well & was even making friends with her canine siblings! She easily adapts to any environment (as nearly all kittens do) and the dogs are clearly smitten with her! She also received a good grooming from her new cat sibling, Minnie. These are the best updates I could have possibly received. I am so thrilled for “Tinker’s” new family…and for her! (She is shown here with Pongo. Photo courtesy of new mom, Mina).

Miss you, little one! Best wishes for a GREAT life! Thanks for fulfilling me in so many ways. And thanks to all our blog readers for allowing me to share this foster journey.

So very cute. All adoptions are bitter sweet but the sweet always takes the cake. Good luck Tinker! But it doesn’t look like you will need it!
