Foster or adopters needed today for kittens thrown out of car

by austinpetsalive • Posted in: Foster, Rescue

Update 7/7/10:  Thanks to our awesome community – a few people came forward and offered to foster these cats!  Martin was adopted and Samuel is going into a new foster home.

Good samaritans on a late-night Walmart run spotted roadside movement and saved several kittens who were thrown out of a car. Some of the kittens didn’t make it, but three did. One was pulled by the Siamese Rescue group and the other two are at the shelter now, and are being cared for and treated — they need homes or foster immediately or will be put down because the shelter is full.

All of our foster homes are full, so we’re asking the public to come forward to foster these kittens. If you can foster, please fill out our foster application and we’ll contact you immediately. These babies need out TODAY.

MARTIN is a brown tabby boy, a little shy, but very beautiful and easy to handle.
SAMUEL is a Maine coon mix, brown tabby longhair, with a sweet, sunny personality.

Please tell me someone was able to help these little guys! They are absolutely adorable…unfortunately I’m just too far away! So sad that some of the kittens couldn’t be saved but happy these babies have a chance.

Please send us an update on these guys! I submitted a foster application, but didn’t hear from anyone, and I’ve just been thinking about them ever since. Hope they found a home!

Sorry you didn’t receive a response yet, Sarah! All of our foster coordinators are volunteers and they can get backed up from time to time. Martin has been adopted and Samuel went into a foster home. We’ll post an update soon!
