Wheatsville Co-op benefits APA! through Community Action Wednesdays!

To the grocery store patrons who refuse to go shopping on the weekend: we applaud you for choosing to shop during the week… particularly Wednesdays.

Every year, Wheatsville Co-op on Guadalupe chooses a month to donate 1% of Wednesday sales to Austin Pets Alive! This year, they brought us over $2500 and much needed pet supplies during the hot month of May.

We want to take the time to say THANK YOU to Wheatsville and their patrons for their continuous support! Their Community Action Wednesdays‘ program supports various charities throughout the year and we are thankful to be a part of that mix of so many worthy causes.

Wheatsville Food Co-op is a full service, natural foods cooperative grocery store, which has been serving the central Austin community since 1976. Wheatsville is the only retail food cooperative in Texas and has over 12,000 invested owners.

Love Wheatsville as much as we do? You’ll be pleased to know they’re opening a new location on South Lamar coming in August. Be sure to check out their web site and scope out the details and job openings!
