Calling all warriors, dashers, mudders and APA! supporters!

We are happy to announce that our corporate sponsor, Austin Subaru, is hosting APA!’s first-ever Ruff and Rugged Run on Sunday, October 2 at MYLO Obstacle Fitness in south Austin. This obstacle course event will include 10 dog-themed obstacles staggered throughout a three mile course providing challenges for seasoned athletes and casual racers alike.

Understanding that the Ruff and Rugged Run will attract athletes of all skill levels we have designated elite waves, as well as waves for those animal-lovers who just want to stretch their legs and flex their muscles.

Individual and group rates are also available, making this the perfect event for your adventurous friends and those companies looking for a team building activity to springboard employees into Q4.

Like any other racing event around town, we want a crowd! We are encouraging all participants to bus in their biggest fans to cheer them on. No really.

Why? Because we know getting muddy and winded is more fun with friends and loved ones witnessing your valiant efforts!

The Ruff & Rugged Run will feature many canine-inspired obstacles including, The Mud Puppy, The Zoomie Steps, The Doggy Bars and The Escape Artist. — Despite the quirky obstacle names this event is designed for agile humans only. Please leave your pets at home.

Not a self-described athlete but curious if you’ve got what it takes to reach the finish line? (Psst. If you’ve read up to now you’ve got what it takes.) Our host sponsor MYLO Obstacle Fitness has kindly provided us with some tips on training for the obstacles and planning for race day to make this a fun and memorable experience had by all.
