Olak came to TLAC with a very bad leg – broken with terrible open wounds. Apparently, his owner had tried to fix his leg with popsicle sticks and tape. He wasn’t given any veterinary care. Then he dropped his cat off at the shelter.

Despite his serious wounds, Olak is the friendliest little kitten – he tries to leap in your arms as soon as you open the cage. He has a healthy appetite and is doing ok now in his wonderful foster home.

Unfortunately, his wounds are too great and his leg will need to be amputated. We need to raise $400 to pay for the surgery. After the surgery, this little guy should have a healthy and happy life ahead of him.

I was the volunteer that met Olak at the shelter and helped rescue him. Olak is a very brave little kitten – his leg had been injured for about a month before he came to the shelter. But this hasn’t turned Olak against humans – he still loves us all with a passion! Please help Olak by giving a donation – he is a very dear, loving and brave feline that has gone through a lot in his first couple of months of life.

I would love to fund the remaining cost of $192.00 for little Olak’s surgery. How old is Olak and what does he think about dogs?

Wow, thanks Jennifer! Olak is about 5 months old. It looks like his foster also has a dog in the home, so hopefully we’ll have some good information for you. We’ll email you as soon as we hear back from her.

Yes, thank you Jennifer! I had a cat named Maynard who loved to take flying leaps into my arms, Maynard was a great cat – sounds like Olak is a great cat too. Cats can do quite well wiith three legs. I hope he gets the surgery very soon.
