We Want to Hear Your Stories

by austinpetsalive • Posted in: Awareness/ PR, Volunteering

As Bastrop and other fire-affected communities are now trying to get back on their feet following the absolutely devastating fires, we’ve heard and have been thankful to be a part of so many success stories regarding the pets of Central Texas. We want to hear from you. Were your pets affected? Did you adopt, foster or volunteer at APA!? Were you a first responder, volunteer vet, neighbor or another there to help pets in a time of need? We want your stories!

Please email us at email hidden; JavaScript is required to tell us about your experience. In your email let us know if you are willing to be contacted and featured in our upcoming video montage of the events that have unfolded in the past weeks. We look forward to hearing from you.

Meyer & Maples Photography are holding fundraiser on Saturday night to benefit the animals affected by the fires in Bastrop. This is an annual event and the money raised is donated to Rosenberg Animal Shelter. This is the shelter Meyer and Maples Photography supports weekly by photographing the animals and sharing professional images of them on facebook, pet-finder, etc to increase the adoption rate. Its been very successful!!

Saturdays event is a photo shoot for women to come and get an awesome new image for facebook. We also provide them with one 5×7 print. This year we would like to donate 50% of the proceeds to Rosenberg and 50% to animals in need in Bastrop. Rosenber Animal Shelter is thrilled to split the donation. I have been following your stories on facebook and am touched and awed at how much progress and positive impact A.P.A. has made. Can you recommend the best place for us to donate these funds so the animals of Bastrop are helped? Whether it be your organization or another we appreciate your input. We look forward to hearing from you. Thanks so much.
