APA!’s New Big Brother/Sister Program

Do you love to spoil a dog rotten? Do you always have treats in your back pocket, ready to share with your favorite furry friends? Do you love the APA! dogs but fear your significant other will kick you out of the house if you bring another dog home? Then we have a new program that is just for you!

Austin Pets Alive! recently implemented our new Big Brother/Sister program where volunteers act as “bigs” to dogs who are waiting to be adopted. We can pamper, love and spoil our “littles” by doing things just for them — a new girly collar for Mona, a special bed for June, even a walk along the lake for Betty. All those things and more!

If you’re considering volunteering with APA! but aren’t yet sure how you’d like to be involved, there are countless dogs (and volunteers) who are benefiting from the Big Brother/Sister connection. You even get to choose the type of dog you’re more comfortable with. If you prefer a small dog who loves to cuddle in the cool grass, we can pair you with just the right relaxed one. If you’d rather play fetch for hours on end, we’ve got just the active dog for you, too!

If you’d like to learn more about this program, or if you’re already an APA! volunteer and would like to start pampering your “little” today, email us at email hidden; JavaScript is required and we’ll get you paired up!
