China Widener is a partner in the technology industry practice at Deloitte Consulting, LLP. She has 25+ years of professional experience across three industries. Currently, she focuses on leading clients through technology enabled business transformation and operating model optimization to achieve breakthrough performance outcomes. China serves as the Consulting Business Leader focused on supporting top 50 technology companies. She also serves on the Deloitte Consulting, LLP Board of Directors, Deloitte’s Black Action Council, and Deloitte's Global Diversity and Inclusion Council.
Prior to Deloitte, she held roles as COO, In-house Counsel, and Asst. Prosecuting Attorney and served on the Board of GWg a non-profit focused on using technology to drive social impact by supporting technology solutions for non-profits.
Since joining Deloitte, she has co-authored published articles on the use of technology frameworks for business, delivery model analysis, and closing talent gaps. She has designed and delivered inaugural programs and workshops focused on preparing clients and practitioners for career growth. She has been interviewed/ featured in several publications regarding women and minority leadership development. She has served as a keynote speaker or panelist for national and regional conferences.
China received her B.S. at Eastern Michigan University and holds a J.D. from the University of Maryland, Francis King Carey School of Law.
China and her wife Maria reside in Del Valle, TX where her spare time is spent raising her pack of pups, most recently she has focused on learning the art of dirt-tract auto racing.
