As the Strategic Director of Human Resources at APA!, Elena leads the overall strategic direction of the human resources to function through continuous improvement, innovation, and compliance management in support of the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Working in partnership across all levels of the organization, Elena provides HR expertise, guidance, and training in respect to people, policies, procedures, and programming related to personnel life cycle and planning.
Elena possesses a dual Bachelor of Science in Labor and Employment Law and Human Resource Management from Rutgers University; School of Management and Labor Relations.
Prior to joining APA, Elena has worked within the Pharmaceutical Industry for leading, internationally owned generic manufacturers. From which she has brought her knowledge and expertise to the nonprofit sector in the hopes of bettering the lives of the animals and the people that care for them.
