Leigh Ann’s long career in commercial property management has spanned 40 years. This began in Austin, then took her to San Francisco for 18 years, and back to Austin in 2010. She had managed downtown class A and suburban class B buildings throughout her career both in Austin and San Francisco and recently brought a new high rise onto the market from construction to occupancy. Her most recent position was as Regional Property Manager for Tier Reit, overseeing 2 million square feet of commercial property in Austin, Texas. Tier Reit was acquired by Cousins Properties in 2019, and Leigh Ann decided to take a leave of absence and focus on family.
While in San Francisco Leigh Ann volunteered at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito California for several years, working with injured and sick marine mammals until they could be returned to the ocean. She also volunteered at ROCK (Ride on Center for Kids) in Georgetown as a “sidewalker” assisting participants in equine-assisted therapy after she returned to Austin in 2010. An animal lover at heart, Leigh Ann grew up with dogs her whole life and has always loved all types of animals. She and her husband currently have 2 Golden Retrievers, 11-year-old Maggie and 4-year-old Jax. They created Approved by Jake to memorialize their Golden, Jake, who passed away in 2015, and raise money for Community First! Village, a part of Mobile Loaves and Fishes. Through Approved by Jake, Leigh Ann and her husband Tim have raised and donated generously, including building “Jake’s Place” dog park at Community First Village.
