Secretary
Sharon has been a loyal supporter of Austin Pets Alive! since 2013 when she was a volunteer Rufftail Runner. During that time, she fell in love with and adopted one of the many dogs she walked. She named him Zilker, in honor of APA!’s location next to Zilker Park. Before all this, Sharon earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Texas in Austin, taught 1st and 2nd grade for many years, raised two wonderful kids, and has taught fitness classes for over 15 years in the Austin area. She, her husband, and family believe strongly in the No Kill movement and hope to continue to be of support to Austin Pets Alive! for many years to come.
