Gentle, Sweet, Beautiful

Marlena is a beautiful calico cat with very soft fur, eyes that are a lovely shade of green and she has really cute facial expressions. She is a very sweet and gentle dignified older lady who is a little shy at first. With time and patience she comes out of her shell and is very friendly. She likes to sit next to her foster mom and "helps" when she is working on her laptop. She is a cuddly sleeper and will give a big purr when she gets petted.

She is not particularly playful but does enjoy a little play with a catnip toy from time to time and really loves and needs some sort of scratching post/board. For the most part, she likes to take it easy but meal time and treat time get her super excited.

She generally doesn't like other cats but is not aggressive when she gets to know them. It is unknown how she would feel about dogs or children but all indications are she would not be a fan. She would probably prefer a home when she gets to be the only pet and queen of the castle.

Marlena has diabetes and was left at the shelter due to the diagnosis. She just needs a quite home with loving humans who can give her a little special attention and love. She requires some extra medical care which includes a regulated diet and insulin injections along with monitoring. She appears to have some limited vision which is customary for diabetic cats.
