Loving, cuddly, passive

Mel asks for so little - a window for bird-watching, a warm lap for cuddling, and her favorite brand of cat litter. In return, she'll grace your home with her calm and loving presence.

She's a quiet girl - she's only vocal at mealtime, and then only if you call her. If you do, she'll meow "thanks, I'm coming! She's not into toys at all. She enjoys watching the world go by from a window perch, and she adores being cuddled.

Mel has not met the other cats in her foster home, though she's aware of their presence. Mel doesn't exhibit any aggression towards them, though she may be afraid of them. We don't know how she feels about dogs. She may be OK with older, respectful kids, but she hisses and runs from loud, fast-moving kids. She clearly prefers adults, and is a total love bug with them.

Mel's only strict personal requirement is that you provide her with Dollar Tree unscented clay litter. If you do, she'll consistently use her litter box, and if you don't, she may express her displeasure by going elsewhere. Kitties do have their quirks, and this just happens to be hers.

Mel has diabetes and requires some extra medical care, including a regulated diet and insulin. For more information, please contact APA!

Mel would do best in a stable, quiet home with adults who stick to a routine. She's content to be a single pet, and would probably be happiest without other pets around.

If you're looking for a calm, cuddly couch potato kitty, Mel might just be perfect for you!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
