Lady Liberty: resilient, constant, true. That's our gal! She is older, but has a loving spirit that is strong and shines through in everything she does. Kind of like a beacon in the dark.
She is super sweet and affectionate, and will dedicate herself to following you around the house! When you take a break, she will sit at your feet and fall asleep. Sometimes she will cuddle with you at night, sometimes she decides to sleep in a cozy spot elsewhere in the house. She likes to exercise her independence!
Previous to her stay with APA!, Lady Liberty had been declawed. As a result of this she must remain an indoor cat. She is calm and mild-mannered and will roam and explore the house, but doesn't seem interested in toys. She is relaxed around other pets, rather unconcerned about them, and has snuggled with the resident adult cat in her foster home! We think she would do great with older children who don't need her to be their playmate, but who will give her gentle loving.
Lady Liberty is diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and needs a diet that supports her aging kidneys. She will meow when she is hungry or thirsty, but otherwise is quiet (but will meow when you come home, she is so excited to see you!). Her ideal home would be calm; she may be happiest in a home as an only pet so that she can get ALL of the loving and attention that she deserves!
