With a name like Pinnochio, you might immediately think about noses! And our Pinnochio has a distinctly-shaped nose. Since he is as honest as the day is long, his was not a result of telling lies; his was caused by a fungal infection. The wound healed, but it left him with a newly-shaped nose. He is a confident and handsome tuxedo boy - with intense eyes - and is not a bit self-conscious about his nose! Because after all, it works perfectly fine, which is what matters.
If you know anything about fungal infections, you know they are difficult to completely eradicate; so Pinnochio is on an anti-fungal medication to help prevent future infections.
Pinnochio loves for you to scratch him, and he will gently head butt you for pets (hint, hint). But generally he waits for you to come to him, and then he is happy to chill out near you - not on you, he's decided he's not a lap cat - and accept all of the loving you can give him! He's just the nicest guy, not needy at all, and so well-behaved.
Actually, he reminds us of a lazy, easy-going dog! And perhaps not coincidentally, he's great with the calm dogs in his foster home. He will bat at them if he thinks they are coming too close, and even then he just uses his paws, no claws.
Pinnochio also doesn't use his claws on furniture! He's a perfect, all-around gentleman.
The more he gets used to his environment, the more playful he has become! So give him an adjustment period, and soon he will bat at a feather toy. But even when playing he maintains his calm demeanor; no crazy-kitten here, he's a mature guy. (And totally adorable.) Pinnochio mostly lounges around, but occasionally he gets a burst of energy, and then he simply MUST run from room to room as though he's playing hide and seek with a ghost!
The ideal home for a Pinnochio would be laid-back, although he does like being where the action is! He prefers to hang out in the living room with everyone rather than being by himself. And when people he doesn't know come to visit, he likes to say hi; he's quiet but friendly, and not shy. His people should be adults, young adults, and older kids who are calm and gentle.
