Bill Monroe (the singer) might be known as the "Father of Bluegrass", but Bill Monroe (the cat) is known around APA! as "Lover of Chin Scratches".

Our Bill is sweet and on the bashful side; it will take her time to accept that you love her and will keep her safe (which is her greatest wish), but over time she gets more used to being around people. As mentioned, a sure way to her heart is by gentle chin- and head-scratching. And when she starts to purr...that is some of the sweetest music we have ever heard. And she'll add lyrics to her song when it's mealtime!

Similarly, over time she has grown used to the resident adult cats in her foster home, eventually engaging in play with them! She has shown that she likes being around nice cats.

The ideal home for Bill would be quiet, with cat-experienced people who have the patience and skills to help a scared kitty become confident, comfortable, and relaxed. We suspect that all she needs is love and consistency.

Contact us today to meet Bill, a loving companion cat waiting for her People in Shining Armor!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
