Affectionate, Quirky, Excitable

Meet Jane! Jane is a beautiful calico full of lovable quirks, one of which is how she stares not directly at you but ever-so-slightly above your head.

Jane is a classic girl. She loves to eat and laze about in her purple kennel despite the fact that she has an entire room in which to romp, and a soft, cuddly, pink bed in which to sleep (but which she does, at times, claim as hers!). The purple kennel will be going with her when she's adopted because she's just THAT attached to it. Jane loves a good game of chase-the-feather-wand and peek-a-boo. According to her foster, she's a little darling and a joy to have around. She makes a great companion to anyone wanting an affectionate and playful kitty.

Jane hails from a Texas A&M shelter and appears to be a bit territorial with her foster siblings, perhaps due to being unaccustomed to sharing space. Although she's bashful at first, she fully blossoms under a kind, gentle hand within a day or two of coming home. She reminds her foster somewhat of Bill the Cat -- she's high strung and still a bit skittish, but if you are calm and patient with her, she will respond with affection and approachability. She's very loving, and she does like to take it easy most of the time.

An ideal home for Jane would be one in which she is an only child or is adopted with her best friend, Jackie-O, who appears to be the only cat she tolerates. A calm home would be best, with no young children and preferably no dogs, to balance Jane's excitability. The transition from her old home was difficult for her, and after having gone through a lot of change in her life, she is very ready to settle down in a forever home with a family willing to nurture her and give her the love she deserves.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
