Chill, Friendly, Soft

Luke is a handsome boy with the softest fur-once you get your hands on him, you may never let him go! With Luke, patience pays off. He can be a little cautious at first, but when he realizes you're only there to love him, he'll settle in for cuddling and head scratches.

When he feels comfortable, Luke enjoys playing with mouse toys. Got a wand toy handy? He'll become very animated! Don't try to use that wand toy with another kitty, he want it to himself! Other active kitties can make Luke nervous, but if you've got a relaxed kitty (or want to adopt 2!) at home, Luke loves curling up with a best bud. He even enjoys grooming his buddy. He hasn't met any dogs or kids (older, respectful kids are probably okay.) He'd do great in a home as your one and only, or with another laid back kitty who can be his best friend. Most importantly he would like a calm, loving forever family that will give him time to warm up and be his loving, sweet self.

Luke has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). FeLV cats have a virus that causes a weaker immune system - they do not have cancer! For the most part, felvies are just like any other cat. You could not pick one out of the crowd, and they generally do not require much additional care. As a bonus, we waive their adoption fees! APA! provides full coverage and treatment for any FeLV-related issues that arise after the time of adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan - we like to compare it to the lifespan of adopting a senior kitty, with the added benefit that they don't have chronic senior health problems, and that FeLV related medical care is covered. Luke is not contagious to people, dogs or other animals, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
