Playful, Cuddly, Tentative

Jinx is the whole package! From his little pink nose to his little pink toes, this cutie pie is everything you could want in a kitten. He loves to run around and chase after any toy that rolls across the floor, especially crinkle balls and catnip mice! Jinx even knows how to indicate that it's time to play - with a squeaky little mew! He'll chase anything all over the house, running back and forth until he's burned off all his kitten energy. Once he's tuckered himself out from playtime, he's delighted to come and hang out in your lap. When Jinx is feeling extra affectionate, he'll sniff your nose and maybe even give it a little tiny lick! It takes him a minute to make sure that you're a friend, but once he knows you're a buddy, he's a loyal companion and a little purr machine.

Jinx's perfect home would be one that's a bit on the quiet side, as he tends to be startled by loud noises. He's lived with a dog before and did alright, and would prefer a dog on the smaller side. Jinx is very friendly with children but is a little skittish when there are loud noises or sudden movements. He wouldn't hurt a fly, but any kids would need to understand that they'd have to be patient with Jinx while he warms up to them. He also might enjoy having another kitten around to play with.

Jinx is looking to be someone's lucky charm - could that be you?

Jinx is from Palm Valley Animal Shelter, as part of APA's ongoing effort to help other communities become no-kill. This effort is both part of and a perfect example of the work that is being done through our new Maddie's Lifesaving Academy, aimed at helping communities across the country build or bolster their own no-kill communities through apprenticeships. For more information or to become involved, see https://bit.ly/2Ii5Qbz.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
