Skyler believes in playing hard, and then playing harder! He's not the sitting pretty, staring out the window type. Instead, he keeps his gorgeous, muscular physique in motion! He gives his games all he's got...majestic jumps, huffing and puffing as he goes after his "prey" and running with agility and grace. He especially loves his birdy toy, but will play with anything...even his pine kitty litter or you!
Affection does happen, but doing it on Skyler's terms is a must! He doesn't like being picked up or cradled. He'd rather express his love with rubs, a lot of enthusiastic ones all over your feet, to be exact! When he's all tuckered out from his active day, he'll fall asleep on the ground lying on his back with his paws sticking up in the air...it's super cute! He's somewhat of a watch dog-cat and will curiously investigate every sound. When he's not busy guarding the place, he likes to hang out in sinks. He marvels at the way the water moves when he sticks his head under it as it streams from the faucet. When his research is done, it's time for a refreshing drink!
We haven't seen Skyler around cats, dogs or kids. But, his ideal home would have no other animals and no young children because he sometimes bites or scratches when he's playing or feels upset. He needs a cat savvy person who is able to pick up on Skyler's signals and who understands he's trying to communicate. Skyler isn't opposed to talking it out and will gladly let you know your services are needed by meowing to you.
If you're looking for an active, playful cat, Skyler is an athletic goofball who is sure to keep you entertained! You won't find him vying for your lap or constantly requesting snuggles. That's just not his style. But, at the end of the day you'll always know he loves you. If he sounds like the kind of kitty you want on your team, contact us to meet Skyler today!
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
