Choo-Choo is, unfortunately, a poorly named cat - calling her 'Purr Purr' would be a lot more accurate! This darling girl is 100% lap cat, all the time. She's at her happiest when she's snuggled up with a person, any person at all! Choo-Choo is so friendly, she doesn't even need a precautionary sniff when she meets a new person. She just goes right up to them to say hello and get a scratch behind the ears! Once she's nestled herself, Choo-Choo just melts into your arms for a nice nap.

Choo-Choo is still a kitten though, and she loves to run around and play. She's an expert leader and enjoys flinging herself off of things, just to see how far she can go! Choo-Choo came to Austin to get out of the path of Hurricane Florence in North Carolina, and now she's looking for her forever home. She's so sweet and loving, she would probably do just fine with small children, as she doesn't mind being touched anywhere or being picked up. So long as her forever family is looking for a loving cat, it's sure to be a match made in heaven!

Choo-Choo has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). FeLV cats have a virus that causes a weaker immune system - they do not have cancer! For the most part, felvies are just like any other cat. You could not pick one out of the crowd, and they generally do not require much additional care. As a bonus, we waive their adoption fees! APA! provides full coverage and treatment for any FeLV-related issues that arise after the time of adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan - we like to compare it to the lifespan of adopting a senior kitty, with the added benefit that they don't have chronic senior health problems, and that FeLV related medical care is covered. Choo-Choo is not contagious to people, dogs or other animals, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bit.ly/2FwYCxR

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
