Handsome - Sweet - Loving

Alaric doesn't insist on attention, but boy is he happy when you come to cuddle with him! He loves being picked up in your arms, and will sit in your lap or cozily up on your legs and happily purr away. Give him some nose scratches and he'll be putty in your hands. Speaking of noses, he loves headbutting them and then rubbing his soft cheeks on your face. He is so sweet! Alaric's favorite hobby is bird-watching, and his ideal home would have windows for him to sit in and enjoy his bird friends from afar.

Alaric loves people so much that he really prefers to have his special human all to himself. He gets along fine with the other cats in the cattery, but doesn't seek them out or cuddle with them, so we think he'd prefer being an only cat, although he could get along with another FeLV+ kitty. Alaric is great with children -- indeed, with humans of all ages. Every once in a while, he will give your fingers a friendly nip. So, a home without young children would be best. We have no information on his feelings on dogs, but it's possible he could live peacefully with a canine pal with a slow introduction.

Alaric is FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus), which causes a weakened immune system and requires special care. APA! provides some medical assistance after adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan. Alaric is not contagious to people or dogs, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bit.ly/2FwYCxR

Alaric is a healthy FIV+ (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) cat. FIV+ cats typically live long, healthy lives! For more information, please contact APA! or read this FAQ: http://bit.ly/2DPxI43

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
