Loving, Outgoing, Laid-Back

Admiral Snackbar heads up the hospitality and food division. He's earned his rank by being a happy, social guy who loves to eat! He's also been commended for his approach to life...he takes great pleasure in the simplest of things...a warm bed, a full bowl and a loving human.

Admiral Snackbar is very outgoing and will cheerily greet anyone he encounters. He finds people irresistible and will weave around your legs and gently rub against them over and over...just making sure you know you're loved! Being picked up and cuddled are two of Admiral Snackbar's favorite things, but he never demands either. As much as he loves interacting with humans, he's entirely content entertaining himself and is absolutely fine staying home alone while you're away. But, if you're around, you'll likely find him close by. In a contest between spending time with you and playing with a toy, you're the clear-cut winner!

Admiral Snackbar's appreciation of the little things in life may stem from his near death experience. He was scheduled to be euthanized at another shelter because he had an injured tail. But, APA! knew this sweet soul deserved better, and swooped in to save him. The Admiral seems to somehow know he's been given a second chance and is making the most of it. As for his tail, or lack of one, he has an adorable stump now. It's in the process of healing with no long term effects, nothing more than a battle scar for this purry warrior. Admiral Snackbar is perfectly comfortable with his cute stub. In fact, he likes to jump up on the bathroom counter and admire himself in the mirror!

So, what's with the "snackbar" part of his name, you ask? Well, this guy is quite the chowhound....errr...chowcat! He loves to eat and especially enjoys having a nosh when his humans are dining...breaking bread with your people is the best! We think Admiral Snackbar would get along just fine with other cats since he isn't in the least bothered by the kitties on the other side of the door in his foster home. We haven't seen him around dogs or kids.

Admiral Snackbar would be a loyal, caring friend and the sweetest source of love in most any home. All he asks in return is to receive a steady flow of affection. He would be thrilled if his forever household included a cozy bed and a window for bird watching. Oh yes, he also wanted us to mention that an ample stock of yummy food and treats would be greatly appreciated! After all, he didn't earn his name for nothing! If you'd like Admiral Snackbar to take charge of all things kitty in your home, he's ready to report for duty asap!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
