Playful, Loving, Conversationalist

Starlight, star bright,
The first cat I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have you rub my face tonight...

Starlight will gladly grant your face rubbing wishes! She just loves to nuzzle her soft cheeks against yours. There's no such thing as too close for this affectionate sweetheart. In fact, she's not sure where your hand begins and where her pretty, orange coat ends, but she wishes they could be together forever! Starlight is happy to tell you all about it, this gal loves to chat. She's super playful too. Anything and everything is a toy...baskets, balls, feathers, Christmas ornaments...if it moves, it's fair game!

As much as Starlight enjoys being petted, she is on the skittish side and doesn't like being held. But, she isn't bashful in the least when it comes to conversation and will greet you with a cheery meow. She has purring down to an art--hers is instantaneous, strong and extra sweet!

Starlight's best kitty buddy, Cat Van Catte, is also available for adoption. These two cuties are inseparable - playing like gangbusters, snuggling together in a basket or enjoying a tasty meal right out of the same food bowl! Starlight hasn't been formally introduced to the large dogs in her foster home. But, when one came busting into the room, Starlight skedaddled as fast as she could. She might get along with a cat-friendly dog if given a slow, proper introduction. She hasn't met any kids. But, if they got to know her slowly and were respectful of her shy demeanor, they would likely become forever friends. Starlight likes to give her claws a good workout. So, a scratching post is recommended.

If you're looking for a purry, furry companion who has no concept of personal space, Starlight may be just the cat for you! She would enjoy a household with a kitty pal since she loves the constant company of Cat Van Catte. And, we can say with confidence that Cat Van Catte would be happy to be adopted along with Starlight! But, Starlight would likely get along just fine with any social cat.

Starlight, star bright,
The first kind human I see tonight,
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Become your forever kitty tonight...

Starlight has tested positive for FeLV (Feline Leukemia Virus). FeLV cats have a virus that causes a weaker immune system - they do not have cancer! For the most part, felvies are just like any other cat. You could not pick one out of the crowd, and they generally do not require much additional care. As a bonus, we waive their adoption fees! APA! provides full coverage and treatment for any FeLV-related issues that arise after the time of adoption. Cats with FeLV typically have a shortened lifespan - we like to compare it to the lifespan of adopting a senior kitty, with the added benefit that they don't have chronic senior health problems, and that FeLV-related medical care is covered. Starlight is not contagious to people, dogs or other animals, but should live only with other FeLV+ cats. For more information, please contact APA! or read more by our Partner, Best Friends Animal Society: http://bit.ly/2FwYCxR

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
