Meet Breya! Tall and graceful, this beautiful girl is quite happy to go with the flow and get on whatever wavelength her humans are on. Whether you move like molasses or run like the wind, she makes for a wonderful sidekick outdoors. She's happy to relax while her people relax, though for Breya relaxing usually means getting pets too if she has any say in it.

A big cuddle-bug at heart, Breya loves to be loved in any manner you see fit - head scratches, a nice brush-down or snuggles. The only thing that might distract her from your loving attention is the occasional pursuit of a fly. Breya offers up heaps of adoration in return, and her six-toed back paws are just the coolest!

A big girl with a big bark, Breya will very quickly let you know if someone is approaching the house, but for how big and strong she is, she's still is very easy to walk. She gets excited to see new people and is very friendly as long as they aren't carrying anything weird, like an umbrella or a box.

Breya is very well-mannered in the home, and although she easily gets close to food on the counter because she's so tall, she doesn't go after it. She won't even eat the food you've dropped on the floor unless she gets an ok. She also does really well left alone and doesn't get into any trouble or show any destructive tendencies.

Breya is very attentive to her people, especially when she knows you have a treat. She already knows sit, down, shake, go to bed and stay and is learning all kinds of new skills in APA!'s Total Obedience Program (TOP).

As a TOP dog, Breya has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help her learn the skills to become the best dog she can be! She is perfecting walking nicely on leash, sitting calmly when approached by strangers or other dogs and "Place", which means she will go to a specific place in your home on command.

Once Breya successfully completes all the skills on her training plan, she will be considered TOP Dog Ready! Breya is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with her after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together.
