First and foremost, Ciaran is the world's best cuddler and loves to curl up on the couch beside you whenever he can! He is comfortable sleeping in a small bed beside my own. He doesn't have accidents in the house and can be trusted alone for 3-4 hours (that's as long as he's been left so far). He will even notify you if he has to use the restroom with a playful bark or wake up licks in the face. He's such a goof when you try to put his harness on him. He gets so excited that he tips backwards and then rolls onto his back, squirming for seconds afterward! Recently he's discovered his reflection and can be found looking at himself in the mirror with lots of head tilts, playful growls and tail wagging.
Since he's been in foster, Ciaran's learned a TON of skills. He has mastered the "come" command within the house, though he's still working on it when he's outside. He also knows how to "touch", wherever your hand is placed, "wait", "sit", and "lay down" with great consistency, especially in the home. He LOVES playing with other dogs, swimming, splashing around in water and playing fetch with a good stick!!! He's working on the "quiet commend to stop barking when he hears sudden noises. He's also learning to jump to catch a stick, when commanded using, "hup", and learning to run with his owner!
Ciaran can be a bit nervous if he is unfamiliar with a person or new location, but as he has become more confident, he's showing more trust toward others and desire to explore his surroundings. Every day he's improving with his skill development and confidence, and with patience and good training, he's got the potential to be an AMAZING dog. You'll fall in love with him immediately. Come meet this bright and courageous boy!
