Harold loves playing with toys, so he's not a total couch potato, but he's close. Despite being a generally laid-back guy, Harold loves his walks, especially on trails where there's lots to sniff and look at. But he's definitely a huge fan of naps.
Harold gets along with lots of dogs, large and small, and he loves any person willing to rub his belly. He can be left home alone and never has accidents in his foster home. He has great manners and doesn't jump on guests, and he's working hard to practice his leash walking and other skills in APA's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program.
Harold works with a volunteer trainer several times a week toward the goal of passing the American Kennel Club's CGC test! To pass the CGC test, a dog must demonstrate obedience and general reliability in real world situations. Dogs in APA's CGC program learn to walk nicely on leash, sit calmly when approached by strangers or another dog, won't approach people or dogs without permission, greet people appropriately, stay in a sit or down until told "free," and come when called. As part of APA's CGC program you can work with APA to continue to build a training relationship with Harold after adoption and get officially CGC certified for free!
