When Cielo wags her tail, her whole body wags with it! Super sweet and playful, this young lady is never shy with love or affection and likes to kiss and "boop" her people. She loves to run and jump, and this silly girl will make entertaining companion to a lucky family.

With her affectionate, happy nature, Cielo is ready to make friends with everyone she meets. She's a real goofball in the home and her tail is constantly wagging, whether she's just excited to see you or ready to go out and have some fun. She loves to swim, and despite her batwing ears, she looks like a little hippo in the kiddie pool. Cielo is full of energy and very playful, indoors and out, and would love a home with a yard to romp in. Despite being always ready to go go go, she's good at keeping herself entertained with chews toys, antlers being her favorite.

Although she makes a great playmate for other dogs, a single dog household would be the best fit for Cielo. She'd make a great running partner and would love active family who will include her in their adventures.

Cielo does well in a crate and is working learning new skills with her friends at the shelter in APA!'s Total Obedience Program. The Total Obedience Program (TOP) is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. As a TOP dog, Cielo has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help her learn the skills to become the best dog she can be! Cielo is learning skills like sit and down, walking nicely on leash, sitting calmly when approached by strangers or other dogs, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "Place, which means she will go to a specific place in your home on command.

Once Cielo successfully completes all the skills on her training plan, she will be considered TOP Dog Ready! She is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA's Total Obedience Program you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with Cielo after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together.
