Melinda was rescued from a hoarding situation where she was malnourished and lost a lot of her fur. She's now living the good life in her foster home and that beautiful white fur is growing back. She arrived in foster uncertain about these new humans, but she's made great progress at coming out of her shell and now asks to be picked up, loves to cuddle, sit in her person's lap and sleeps curled up with her foster mom at night.
Melinda does like to be a little bossy with the resident male Chihuahuas, but they don't seem to mind and they enjoy rough-housing together (check out her video). Initially Melinda wanted to chase the three resident kitties, but they're very dog savvy cats and Melinda learned not to chase them and they now share the couch peacefully.
Melinda is a low to moderate energy pup and is making good progress on her house and leash training. Walking a few block is a day is just fine with Melinda. At home she likes to play and run around with her stuffed toy turtle and will prance to her food during mealtime.
Melinda doesn't ask for much - just a home with someone she can cuddle with as much as possible and maybe some little dogs to boss around. Come meet this adorable girl!
