Are you looking for a fun-loving, young, healthy pup who's always up for an adventure? Well look no further than Guidry, a compact little dude with a smile that's bigger than Dallas! He is such a happy guy, especially when he's out on the trail with his Ruff Tail Runners on a sunny day.

A fabulous little runner, he's keeping a lot of volunteers in shape as he trots along the busy trail. He's focused on the task at hand and can't be bothered by all the runners, bikers, scooters and dogs passing by. He's a fan of his four-legged friends-especially when they're out romping around together in play group. In fact, he shows great promise in going home to a well-matched pup-and maybe even a kitty cat!

Although he loves being outdoors, Guidry would be just as content snuggling up next to you for some TLC. When you stop petting him, Guidry reminds you that he's still there by gently prodding you with his paw. This sweet guy does really well in his crate and seems to be house-trained. He's also not a chewer!

Guidry meets everyone-animals and humans-with a big smile, full booty wags, and his trademark "play bow. And he might even show you some of his skills if you can pay up with treats! He's currently in APA!'s Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program, where he is working with a volunteer trainer several times a week toward the goal of passing the American Kennel Club's CGC test. To pass the CGC test, a dog must demonstrate obedience and general reliability in real world situations. Dogs in the CGC program learn to walk nicely on leash, sit calmly when approached by strangers or another dog, how to greet people appropriately, stay in a sit or down until told "free," and come when called.

Guidry is working hard to be a dog you can take anywhere with pride, and as part of APA's CGC program you can work with APA to continue to build a training relationship with him after adoption and get officially CGC certified for free! Check out a video about CGC:

If that's not reason enough to take him home, just look at his sweet face! This boy is the whole package and we have no doubt he will make his future forever family very happy one day!
