Rye recently survived a gunshot wound to his face, but he doesn't hold it against anyone. He'd really prefer you focus on his beautiful coloring and gorgeous freckles while you're loving on him, which is his favorite thing in the world. Rye is one serious cuddle bug and loves giving and getting affection, putting his face in people's hands any chance he gets. He quickly became his foster mom's little shadow, following her around the house and constantly looking for opportunities to snuggle.

On top of being so sweet-natured, Rye is a very easy pup to have around - he doesn't ask for much and is beyond content with being loved on. He has excellent manners in the home, is fully house-trained and sleeps in his crate through the night without making a peep. He enjoys getting out for his walks, but he's pretty low key at home and is content to walk around with his squeaky toy in his mouth and seeing what his people are up to. He gets super-excited about peanut butter and does an adorable little run to his dish when you fill up his bowl, but is still very gentle when accepting treats. He also loves meeting dogs and people on his walks and seems very trusting with strangers.

Affectionate, mild-mannered and low-maintenance, Rye would make a wonderful addition to any number of loving homes that will give him lots of attention and include him in their activities. And we think he'd really enjoy having a doggie sibling too. Come meet this perfect pup!
