Loves to be held, Loves to cuddle, Loves to play!
Frankie wholeheartedly agrees with Will Rogers: "Strangers are just friends I haven't met yet." Frankie wants to befriend everyone he meets, whether they be human, another cat, or a dog! He sees relationship possibilities with everyone, and redefines the word "friendly."
Frankie is a lifestyle chameleon! He will spend as much one-on-one time with you as you have and love every minute of it. He loves for you to hold him, snuggle with him, and give him face scritches! If you have to leave to go to work, clean the house, run errands, or walk the dog, he's perfectly fine with that, too. He'll entertain himself with toys and scratchers, or hunker down for a good nap.
Frankie LOVES other cats and dogs of all sizes. He curls up in a cuddle puddle with the 60-lb dogs in his foster home; see photos! The resident adult cat doesn't want anything to do with Frankie, but he still looks at her with adoration and tries to be close to her. He sees the best in everyone, doesn't hold a grudge, and would thrive with feline and/or canine companionship in his new home!
No matter what, Frankie has a sunshiny personality! And the "what" for him is that he has limited use of his back legs. He was rescued from a community cat colony when he was seen dragging his back legs; he wasn't born that way, it happened suddenly a number of weeks ago, and we don't know why. So he was rescued by his foster, and though he was malnourished, disheveled, and couldn't use his back legs, from the get-go he was friendly, alert, and oh-so-loving!
Because that's how Frankie rolls.
And soon perhaps that will be how he rolls, literally, because his foster is building him a PVC mobility cart to help prop him up and encourage use of his little legs. He does try to use them sometimes, so we want to give him every chance to succeed; who knows, maybe he will regain use - or even partial use - of his back legs! But even if he doesn't, he gets around just fine as-is. And he will always be our happy, sunshiny Frankie.

As a result of his condition, Frankie does need his bladder manually expressed about 3 times per day, which means picking him up, placing him over the litter box, and then gently pressing on his bladder to help him go pee; APA! will help you learn this easy task. He can't pee on his own so he needs your help, but he can poop on his own. Frankie is incontinent and requires some extra medical care, which may include a regulated diet and/or manual expression. For more information, please contact APA!
As you can see, Frankie would LOVE a home with other animals. And lots of people. The more the merrier, for Frankie! He has THE BEST personality, and seriously could be a role model for all of us. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet with this sweetie; he is SO WONDERFUL!
