Ultimate Snuggler, Easygoing, 'Peace'ful

Paz couldn't have been given a more fitting name! He is the epitome of a peaceful presence and is the ultimate cozy companion cat!

While Paz doesn't mind being independent and entertaining himself, he is at his happiest when he can be with his humans. Ideally he can be snuggled up next to or on his humans, but will settle for finding a cozy and warm spot in the same room if needed! He would love to be in a fur-ever home where his family members can be home often to keep him company. He could coexist well with another lower energy feline in the home, but doesn't necessarily need an animal companion as long as he has people around to interact with!

Paz will cheekily let his humans know if he feels neglected or left alone too long with a few disgruntled meows, but forgives easily - especially if some pets and cuddles are offered in forgiveness. The only other time Paz uses his voice is if mealtime is missed! This sweet boy is on a special diet, and has hyperthyroidism so is all about a quality mealtime! He wants to make sure he is getting all of the healthy nutrients he needs to stay strong!

Hyperthyroidism increases a cat's metabolism, making them thirstier and hungrier - and sometimes thinner. It is easily controlled with inexpensive, generic meds tucked into a pill pocket! Paz needs to eat a healthy diet and loves mealtime! He needs 24/7 access to water (maybe a kitty fountain?). Contact APA! for more info about hyperthyroidism - we are happy to talk to you about how to care for Paz!

Paz lives up to his name (again) when it comes to his care. He is a dream for his medications, and is just happy for the attention it gets him! An adopter who may not be experienced with medical needs kitties, but is willing to learn, would be a great fit for Paz! He is super patient, and truly just wants to get back to the pets and yummy food so will help things move along smoothly.

Paz has Chronic Renal Disease, which means his kidneys are not functioning as well as they once were. This condition is so common in older cats that APA! offers a special adoption package for them. Read more about renal failure and adoption details here: https://bit.ly/2YudG90

A warm and welcoming environment is just what Paz is looking for. If you can't wait to bring the sweetest senior boy around into your family, contact APA! today to bring Paz home!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
