Curious, Intelligent, Sweet

Have you ever wanted to feel like a celebrity? Mr. Meowgi is already your biggest fan! You'll immediately be drawn to his big personality, intelligence, and inquisitive nature as he follows you around the house, curious about everything that you do! This sweet, friendly boy warms up to people almost instantly, and will be chatting and chirping with you as soon as you say hello!

Originally from North Carolina, Mr. Meowgi was found dumped by a lake. Once his finders realized he was FeLV+, they put him on the waitlist to get a spot at Austin Pets Alive!, so that he would have a better chance at getting adopted. That's where you come in - this sweetheart is hoping to find a furrever home filled with lovely humans who can give him all the love and attention he craves and deserves!

An ideal day for Mr. Meowgi includes lots of playing in the morning, followed by some afternoon cat naps! Mr. Meowgi hopes he can borrow your phone or tablet, because he can't get enough of those phone games for cats! For some jumping and pouncing action, a feather toy will have Mr. Meowgi running all over the place! He also loves exploring, and will quickly be roaming the house as if he owns the place, looking for a good place to nap! As the day goes on, Mr. Meowgi usually mellows out and decides it's time to try out one of those napping spots. While he won't lay directly on you, he loves being in the same room as his humans and will nap nearby or next to you while you work. Unlike a lot of cats, he actually loves having his belly rubbed, and will often fall asleep belly-up!

Are you as excited to meet Mr. Meowgi as he is to meet you? He can't wait to be the president of your furrever fan club!

Mr. Meowgi has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Mr. Meowgi can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
