Snuggly, Fun-Loving, Vivacious
There is never a dull moment when Chilaquiles is around! She brings the party with her everywhere she goes. This green-eyed girl is sweet, spunky and everything in between, and can't wait to find a forever home where she can thrive!
Playtime is super important to this spunky gal, and she will play with just about any toy! From feather wands to laser pointers, to more non-traditional toys like slippers and tweezers, Chilaquiles can have a good time with almost anything. Pros for you: you'll save a lot of money on cat toys. Pros for her: she'll be entertained! Whether she's batting things around by herself or playing with people, there's no such thing as too much fun for Chilaquiles!
Chilaquiles is a smartie, and she knows that for every playtime, there should be an equal and opposite naptime! She is super snuggly and affectionate, and wants to be surrounded by people whenever possible! She will follow you all around the house, especially in the morning, hoping for a quick pat or some lap time. The morning is also when she feels the most chatty, and you'll likely hear a couple meows if you make eye contact for too long! Once the daytime action has died down, she is fine sleeping in a separate room at night. She has no problems being handled; you can pick her up easily, especially if you put her down in your lap so she can take a little nap!
The perfect home for Chilaquiles is one that gives her a little bit of time at first to warm up and become comfortable - soon, she'll emerge as the outgoing and cuddly cat that she is! With a slow and meaningful introduction, she could very well get along with other cats in the household - she might even like having a buddy to play with! The perfect home would also have humans who don't mind being followed around a lot -whether it is yoga, cooking, working from home, or just sitting on the couch, Chilaquiles will want to join! Any concerns about messes or destruction need not be on the mind - Chilaquiles has excellent litterbox behavior, she only scratches her scratching post, and she will only whine for a minute when she's put in a separate room at night (assuming you don't want her to cuddle up with you while you sleep!)
If you're looking to spice up your life with lots of joy, snuggles, and companionship, Chilaquiles would love to join your family!
Chilaquiles has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Chilaquiles can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
