Kind-hearted, Independent, Fighter

Montaner, also known as Montie, is the kindest and sweetest feline! This chill chap is independent and unique. He is respectful of your space but once you let him know you want to give him pets, he will let you pet his silky coat. He is a gentleman of leisure and quietly lounges around the house.

Montaner is recovering from previous trauma and had recent surgery to remove an eye; he can see but has some limited vision. He has been through a lot but is actively working to trust people! He has so much love in his heart, and it shows every time you pet him. He might take a bit of time to get to know you, but then he is ready to love. Once he is comfortable, he will show off his adorable belly and purring skills!

Montaner would thrive in a calm and quiet home with adults, young adults, and older kids who will give him the time, space, and affection that this sweet boy deserves. His people should be patient and shower him with love while he settles in and develops trust. He is so gentle and kind, and truly deserves the world. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet!

Montaner has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Montaner can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
