Affectionate, Chatty, Outgoing
Maddox might be the friendliest cat you'll ever meet! He is extremely affectionate and will rub on you and give you strong headbutts, hoping for pets on the top of his head. He even likes to be picked up and snuggled (if he's in the mood) on your shoulder! He wants to be with you, and will follow you around the house, chatting to you. He's not asking for anything, he's just a friendly, happy, chatty, chummy guy, and wants to be with his people! He gives kisses and likes to chat while snuggling with you, too.
Maddox thinks catnip toys are awesome! Scratcher toys are fun, too, and he won't turn his nose up at a string toy, either. He's playful and likes to run around and play chase with you. If you stop playing with him and he thinks there is still some time left on the play clock, he might give you a little nip to say, "Let's play some more!" He also has the best time exploring the house. We think he's probably the guy you'll find in some nook, cranny, or closet, and say, "How did you get in there??"
And yeah, Maddox has the cutest crinkled, folded ears! They give him the look of a Scottish Fold cat. They are so adorable and quirky, and perfectly indicate how much personality he has! He's a really solid guy, just a tiny bit chonk.
Maddox has a thing for plastic bags or other bags that make noise, and he will "dig" at them! He will also boldly check out what food you're eating, and might say, "Hey, can I have some of that?"
Maddox has met other cats and doesn't think they are 100% necessary in his life! He'd prefer to be your only feline BFF. Also, he might get along with a super chill dog who doesn't bother him.
This funny and endearing boy would love a home with people to hang out with, who can provide love and attention, because that's really all he wants. He's a SUPER affectionate boy who loves hard!

Maddox has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Maddox can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about FeLV care.
All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
