Loving, Purry, Sweet

Umpire LOVES everyone! And simply seeing you gets him unbelievably excited. He revels in being snuggled and held, and he will gaze into your eyes like you are his whole world! Because you are. Sincerely.

Umpire was born with feline cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a non-progressive, non-contagious neurological condition that causes balance issues. Instead of walking he "wiggles" himself around the house - using his tail for balance like a helicopter! - without any issue. Nothing will keep him from chasing after foster mom's feet and playing with crinkly toys!

Take a look at Umpire's video and try not to faint from Cuteness Overload. The way he wobbles and wiggles to get close, the adoring look on his little face, PURRING THE ENTIRE TIME!

Umpire has figured out the best way to play, given his mobility: he stays in a smaller area and moves in slow motion! And gets the job done.

See Umpire in action on Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/hatchling_fosters/

Umpire is calm, happy, loving, and sweet! He loooooves other nice cats. We think he could do well with a gentle kid and a chill pup, given the proper introduction.

The ideal home for Umpire has lots of love! And kind people willing to make minor adjustments to help him thrive: for example, a low-entry litter box, smaller play areas, and soft landing areas to navigate the house. In every other way he is a "normal" kitten - he loves attention, loves playtime, and he loves his wet food diet!

Everything makes Umpire happy. He would like to make you happy, too. Contact us today to arrange a meet & greet!

Cats with CH were born with it, and have a wobble or a funny gait; some cats have a minor imbalance and some are very wobbly! Umpire is very wobbly. Cats adopted from APA! with CH must be kept indoors only. CH cats have the same lifespan as other cats. For more information, please visit: lifewithchcats.com.

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
